Tourism, Leisure, and Consumption: Chinese Tourists in Macau is a chapter in the new "Companion to Social and Cultural Geography." It contains 46 chapters and "incorporates a diversity of writing styles, narratives, and analyses, such as interviews, conversations, short essays, autobiography, and autoethnography." Our chapter, written together with Tim Simpson as first author considers tourism and leisure in the context of Macao. We use the unique spaces of this large gaming industry to explore new methodologies and how they might be applied to tourism and leisure studies.
