Year of the Monkey

This design is a public sculpture for the Chinese New Year in 2016. It was designed to evoke the concept of a cage and the association of the monkey with scientific research and study. It is comprised of a metal frame with two acrylic sides in front and behind the monkey sculpture. These sides have a two way mirror effect inviting viewers to consider the relationship between the inside and out.
