Light of Other Nights

"Light of Other Nights" is a light sculpture created from led lights sourced from the first casino in the Cotai region of Macao. The lights were salvaged from ornamental features on the front of the former Grand Waldo Casino. The title is a reference to "Light of Other Days," a work of speculative science fiction by Bob Shaw in 1966. In the short story and in this conceptual work, we are asked to consider what it means to see light from another time and place. Exhibited at the AFA Autumn Salon 2017.
